Last night a friend and I went to H Street Northeast which is supposed to be (or hopes to be) the next "hot neighborhood" in Washington DC. It has a number of cool and different bars like the "Rock and Roll Hotel" and "Palace of Wonders" which is a carnival sideshow, museum, bar, and vaudeville spectacular all rolled into one. My favorite place of the night (which was filled with people watching the Stanley Cup Game 7 game) was "Country Club" which just opened a few weeks ago. In addition to a large bar, it has skeet ball, mini golf indoors, and other fun bar games.
Two down sides to H Street Northeast. There is no metro close by and neighborhood is still a little "sketchy". We saw a number of police cars with their lights and sirens on thru the evening.
