Thailand Elephant Sanctuary

Couple months ago I was able with a group to visit (and feed and bathe) half dozen elephants outside of Chiang Mai.   For many, this was the highlight of their 21 Northern Thailand trip.

Visit to Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia

This week I toured the prison that Al Capone once stayed in, and became a model style for prisons oversea's.    You can either get a guided tour or as most do the very good audio tour (cost $16) narrated by actor Steve Buscemi.   I went with friend who has lived in the city for more than 15 years and is now telling others who live there they should go if that haven't.    They have some special scarier tours in the fall.

This might have been Al Capone's Cell.  He was there for only a year.

48 Hours in Krakow, Poland

One of the most underrated cites is Europe I believe is Krakow, Poland.   Images of old buildings and cold weather come to mind probably when you think of Poland.  But Krakow is very cool city with lots of great food, craft beer and cafes.   And yes there are some old buildings and lots of churches too!

Street & Park Art from Zagreb, Croatia

Last year I spent a week exploring the coast of Croatia (which is beautiful), earlier this year I returned to Croatia to check out the capital before heading to Italy.   Zagreb was filled with some great street art and one park full of art.
