So I work less than a 5 minute walk from Iwo Jima in Arlington. On Tuesday Night I decided to take a walk up there after work to shoot some pictures of the famous Marine Memorial. I ended up spending two and half hours hours there, waiting and then watching the "Sunset Parade." The parade which happens on Tuesday during the summer months features the music of The United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps and precision drill by the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon. Tonight the Director of Veteran Affairs was in attendance too. It was an impressive show and I think made some better pictures than just an empty statue.
