Last July, Ellicott City MD suffered a devastating flood...  Hardest hit was Historic Main Street which is filled with lots of quint little shops (some throw back to another era).   Seven moths later, Ellicott City is coming back.  While many shops remain closed, there was a lot business open and planning to open or re-open in the next month or so.   If you never have visited Ellicott City (as 35 minute drive from DC) it's worth the visit.
