Over 1000 candles were lit this afternoon in memory of loved ones not with us this Christmas in the Franciscan Montastery in Northeast D.C. The candles (called Luminarias) will burn for the next seven days outside the Monastery. Special box (above) remebers a number of victims killed in gun violence including at Navy Yard, Sandy Hook School Shooting, New Jersey Mall, and Colorado school shooting.
