Great Day @ National Zoo

Friday was great day (temps in the mid 60's) to spend outdoors and walk off some of the turkey dinner from Thanksgiving.   I headed to National Zoo to visit the Giant Panda and other animals.  

Early Thanksgiving Day Parade

Today was the Saturday before Thanksgiving Montgomery County Parade in my neighborhood (Silver Spring).   The weather was great and the parade goers seemed entertained. 

Malcolm X Park

Wednesday afternoon was a perfect mid-Fall afternoon to visit one my favorite parks in DC area, Malcolm X/Merdian Hill Park on 16th Street in northwest D.C. 

Denis Garden, Silver Spring

Last Spring I photographed (and posted on this blog) photos from the below garden/statue.   It's called "Denis Garden" and it was built in by Mothers Against Drunk Driving in memory of the lives (especially children) lost due to a drunk driver.   On Saturday, I returned to photograph it again with colorful trees making a nice background.   It's located on Sligo Creek Parkway in Silver Spring.

DC FOTO week started over the weekend.  Yesterday I checked out FOTO Central at 18th and L Street (in the old Borders store) and took some iphone photographs of some of my favorite photos.
