Thanksgiving Weekend in Connectiuct

Spending the Thanksgiving Weekend at my parents place in Beacon Falls, Connecticut. Had some "down time" this afternoon to take some pictures in town. Not sure if the Christmas wreath in the woods got their via human or mother nature. The little kid in the window was taken yesterday at BWI Airport in Maryland.

More pictures from yesterday's parade in my neighborhood. As you can tell, I took a bunch of pictures with sepia which was fun to change things up. The parade ended with a visit by Santa Claus delighting the young parade goers!

Thanksgiving Parade in Silver Spring Pt. 1

Thanksgiving Day was celebrated a little early in Silver Spring. The county (Montgomery) parade was this morning. And as you tell from the last picture, it was a cold morning to take in a parade. Nerveless, I could not avoid the opportunity to take some parade pictures in my neighborhood. I will post some more pictures tomorrow!

Cool Photo from Georgetown

So 30 days ago I joined this web site called shuttercal.com The mission of the web site is to try to post one photo everyday (or every couple days) on your own calendar. Taking a photo everyday is pretty hard, but tonight I wanted to do something different. On my way home from work, I drove thru the neighborhoods of Georgetown. I passed Dumbarton Oaks, which is a research library and collection run by the Trustees for Harvard University. I saw this cool gate, and looked in and got this pretty cool picture.

Rock Creek Park Part 1

After a long week at work, it was nice to get outside today and take in some fall scenery. I went to to Rock Creek Park (which stretches from Maryland into DC).. The first picture is a reflection of another photographer in DC taking pictures. I took a lot of pictures, but decided just to show eight. I will post the other four tomorrow!

Election Day 2008

Only and hour and five minute wait to vote in Silver Spring this morning. I heard the wait earlier in the morning was upwards of two hours. Hopefully the wait won't be long tonight to find out who our next President is.

HBO and Sarah Jessica Parker in Adams Morgan

HBO was filming Saturday Night a Pilot Show based on the writings of the former congressional staff assistant Jessica Culter. And the Executive Producer is Sarah Jessica Parker. Sarah's in the last picture on the left. No word on when the show is going to air on HBO. The filming took place on busy 18th Street on Saturday Night!

Halloween 2008

Halloween Night in DC.. Spent the first half with the nieces and nephew. Second half at a couple local bars in Silver Spring with a friend (including a pirate bar). The second picture was from a Chevy Chase neighborhood haunted house!
