The NBA finals start tonight... and yesterday I visited the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield Massachusetts.  The next time you find yourself in Northeast, and if you are basketball fan,  you should definitely plan a visit.

Statue of Dr. James Naismith the inventor of Basketball.

Statue of Celtic's great Larry Bird

Tribute to Dematha (Maryland) Catholic High School and the legendary coach Morgan Wootten.

Tribute to greatest basketball player of time, Michael Jordan.

Tribute to the "Chuck Taylor" Converse Shoe

Sock of "Pistol Pete" Maravich.  According to wikipedia... "One of the youngest players ever inducted into the Hall of Fame. Maravich was cited by the Hall as "perhaps the greatest creative offensive talent in history".  Hall of Fame player John Havlicek said "the best ball-handler of all time was (Pete) Maravich."

Some of the Hundreds of members of the Hall..  Including Broadcaster/Former Coach Hubie Brown, University of Connecticut woman's and men's head basketball coaches, and Charles Barkley.
