Winter Break Sunsets

As I close out the look back at my trip to Miami and the Bahamas, my final photographs are of the great sunsets I was able to experience and photograph! All these were taken via my IPhone too. This weekend as much of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast deal with very cold temperatures, I will be thinking back to last weekend when I was sitting on the beach in the Bahamas getting sunburned. Spring please come quickly!

Nassau & Paradise Island, Bahamas

The second stop on the three night cruise was Nassau and Paradise Island. This is the famous Atlantis resort on Paradise Island.


This is a popular bar (both for the seagulls and humans) near the ship. Some passengers spent the day drinking at (I didn't go inside this time)...

Coca Cay, Bahamas

The first stop on the Three Night cruise was Coca Cay, Bahamas. Unless you have been on a Royal Caribbean Cruise, you probably have never heard of this small island. It's own by the cruise line. It was a perfect beach day!

New Frank Gehry Building in Miami Beach..

Later this month, my favorite architect's first building in Florida will open. Last week I got a sneak preview (from the outside) of the The New Symphony building in Miami Beach designed by Frank Gehry (probably the best living architect).

First Stop Miami Beach

There hasn't been many photographs posted on the blog since the new year. One main reason is it's been very cold in DC area (as of much of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast). But this past weekend I went to the warmer climate's of Miami Beach and the bahama's (via cruise ship) and took lot's of photographs. Instead of doing it in all one posting, I am going to do multiple postings over the next few days. We start at South Beach at dusk....

Happy 2011! On this first weekend of the new year I went to my favorite Washington DC area cemetery, Rock Creek Cemetery, to take some photographs on this rainy Sunday Afternoon.
