Charleston & Savannah Cemetery Photographs

The main purpose of my little road trip to Charleston and Savannah was to photograph a few cemeteries for my 51 cemeteries project. 1300 plus miles later, they are now posted on my other blog!

Greetings from Savannah GA

I travelled a little over 100 miles south to Savannah, Georgia. This city has been ranked as one of the top 10 cities to visit in the US. Tonight I was treated to a fireworks show on the river during a River Walk Arts festival.

More Photos from Charleston SC

For fans of Pat Conroy, this house is south of Broad Street (Conroy's most recent book set in Charleston is entitled "South of Broad")

Greetings from Charleston SC

Spending a little over 24 hours in Charleston, SC. I haven't been here since high school, and I forgot was a beautiful southern city it is. These photos were taken down near the water and French Quarter last night (near sunset).

There was a 5K racing going on last night too!

This is large ship heading out of the Charleston port towards the Cooper River Bridge (which only 5 years old)

A restaurant on the water.

Today it's a little more time downtown Charleston. Eat a recommend really good southern food restaurant for lunch, and then it's off to Savannah! Later this weekend I will have pictures up from a Charleston and Savannah cemetery on my 51cemeteries blog!

I updated my www.51cemeteriesproject.blogspot.com with a visit on Saturday to a cemetery in my home state of Maryland. I hope to visit at least two more cemeteries next week, so check out the cemetery blog now and again next weekend!
