The Blizzard of 09 happened on a Saturday, and now another all day Saturday snow storm. Were expecting between 3 to 6 inches before it stops Saturday Night!

Spotlight: Rio Shopping Center in Gaithersburg MD

With rain in the forecast for Sunday, I took a short road trip up I-270 to Gaithersburg in Maryland. Gaithersburg is the 4th largest city in the state. I saw a movie and then explored the grounds of the Rio Shopping Center set next to this little pond and home of many geese and ducks.

A number of people didn't see the above sign or decided not to follow it, as you can see in this "Fight for the Bread" photograph (below)...

Half of the pond was frozen and the other half was thawed (with temps warmer this past week)...

Deerfield Beach, Florida Arts Festival

On Saturday I went to the Deerfield Beach Arts Festival in Florida. The festival featured 300 arts vendors from all across the country.

Greetings from Fort Lauderdale

In Fort Lauderdale for the long MLK Weekend. Temps are in the mid to upper 70's. A nice break from the bone chilling temps since the New Year in the DC area. The beach wasn't crowded late Friday afternoon, except for a few people walking their dogs.

The setting sun between a couple of buildings in downtown Lauderdale.

Some really cool skies and clouds right around sunset...

Going to an arts festival today. Hopefully I will get a chance to post more photographs on Sunday or Monday!

Happpy New Year!

Here's dreaming of a summer day when the thermometer hits 100 degrees. I rather be hot than cold!

New photos on the blog will be up soon, just waiting for the temps to warm a little bit up. Happy New Year everyone!
