Carnival Caribbean Cruise # 1

Last week I escaped the cold winter of Mid-Atlantic for a week in the Caribbean. I took a cruise on the Carnival Cruise Triumph Ship. We made stops in San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Martin. I took many pictures, and plan to post over the next week some of the highlights. Today's pictures are of my ship (both on and off the ship) and a sunset taken the last night of the ship!

National Building Musuem & Law Enforcement Memorial

After the Chinese New Year Parade on Sunday, I went over to the National Building Museum and National Law Enforcement Memorial. The first two pictures are from the National Building Museum, which was the site of the Commanders in Chief Ball on Inauguration Night. The lions keep guard the names on the wall of our nation's fallen law enforcement officers.

DC Chinese New Year Parade

With temps in the low 60's.. it felt more like early spring than the first day of February. It was great weather to take in a parade. this one was down in Chinatown (which if you ever been to DC is really China block because it's so small.) The parade celebrated the Chinese New Year, which was actually last Monday. The parade was super short, but was well attended and made for a few good pictures!
